i think i can eat lots of curry puffs at one sitting, too many, come to think of it
i like them all, any kind will do, the vegetable ones, the ones that are supposed to be filled with sardines but instead are filled with cucumber and onions, the potato ones and the ones which are so full of air, that they cannot contain anything else, even the ones which has crusts so thin that they qualify as paper pastry which i hate,
but my favorite ones are those with thick crusts, the ones that threaten to do damage to your teeth once you sink them into the sinful delight, 600 calories worth of potatoes and dough,
heh, which brings to mind, old chang kee,
what a pity, i mean all the makciks and neneks who sell them for a living,
now they have to compete not with just the friendly woman next door, but with an entire chain of insensitive, factory churned products which cost thrice as much,
so the curry puffs have gone the way of the nasi loh mak, nasi padang, lontong, (they come in instant sachets now), satay, and i'm sure the list will get longer in the future,
maybe, someone should patent sambal goreng and serunding soon, before they succumb to the evils of the capitalist world,
